The secret to a great video? The perfect storyboard
Videos are the best way to convey a message quickly and effectively. But behind a few minutes production lie long hours of work and study. The key to our winning communication in OneVision is the creation of the storyboard, which is the first step towards creating direct and effective video content. Today we will reveal the secrets that hide behind the writing of our storyboards, our flagship in OneVision!
First and foremost, brevity and synthesis always pay. For example, when a video is specifically designed for the Internet, we never go over five minutes. It is also essential to convey the key message (or messages) during the first thirty seconds, a time lag beyond which the attention span of the recipients is set to fall inexorably.
And the recipients must become our best friends. It is vital, therefore, to address them directly, by involving them and informing them not about what they already know, but about what they need to know about a particular topic. In order to do so, you have to find the right tone of voice. We always study who's on the other side of the screen so that we can speak its own language. And do it in the most attractive way possible.
As the word itself says, a "storyboard" tells a story. So we do not limit ourselves to exposing aseptic data and statistics, but we do entertain the recipients with characters and stories that can be inspiring in the real world. Using humor also, but with extreme caution and always considering who we should turn to. And finally, we always weigh out words, reaching a maximum of 150 per minute. Effective video communication also comes from the voiceover, which, despite being overwhelmed with information, must be relaxed too. It's a tough job, but here in OneVision we know how to do it!
